Ltd, creator of Australia’s Number 1 Luxury Single Malt Whisky, today unveils its new luxury portfolio of four expressions, elevating the fortified depth, flavour intensity and silky complexity for which the brand has earned global acclaim. Presented in a vibrant new livery and housed in a sculptural redesigned 700ml bottle, this new chapter signals LARK’s confident step onto the world stage.
Born at the edge of the world and shaped by Tasmania’s extraordinary climate, the new LARK portfolio is an unapologetic expression of place. Four striking new Single Malts are introduced alongside a confident new visual identity, each whisky capturing the wild beauty, elemental power and creative freedom of the island LARK calls home. These are whiskies that taste like nowhere else on Earth.
Three expressions, Fire Trail, Devil’s Storm and Ruby Abyss, will lead the portfolio’s global release, each revealing a distinct dimension of Tasmania’s unique character. A fourth expression, Cinder Forest, will be available exclusively through Global Travel Retail at key international airports. The new design language channels the island’s wild landscapes and the soaring spirit of the skylark, pairing contemporary elegance with illustrated Tasmanian flora and fauna that celebrate LARK’s singular provenance.

Tasmania stands among the world’s most exceptional whisky-making regions. A southern island carved by wind and sea and lying just beyond the reach of Antarctica, it is defined by four extreme seasons and dramatic temperature swings that shape whisky more intensely, and in less time, than almost anywhere else on Earth.
From the purest air and water to ancient peat marshes and the influence of the Southern Ocean, every elemental force of the island is imprinted in LARK’s whisky. This closeness to the edge of the world infuses each spirit with depth, power and a sense of untamed beauty.
Founded in 1992 by Bill and Lyn Lark, whose persistence overturned a century old distilling ban dating back to 1839, and ignited modern Tasmanian whisky, LARK has led Australia’s whisky movement. Today, Chris Thomson, Master Distiller and protégé of Bill and Lyn, carries this legacy forward, bridging tradition with innovation and embracing the creative freedom that defines the New World whisky category. Guided by taste rather than convention, Thomson and his team continually experiment with casks, rare finishes and locally sourced ingredients to craft whiskies defined by experience, not rules.
LARK’s House Style is distinguished by its fortified depth and layered, silky complexity, delivering sweetness, richness and a distinctive New World umami character. Matured and finished using custom fortified wine seasoning and balanced through the unique use of apple-wood smoked water, LARK whiskies offer a fuller, more luxurious mouthfeel and a flavour-forward profile that lingers.
Chris Thomson, Master Distiller, elaborates: “Taste is our compass. Being New World means we’re not bound by historical rules. That freedom allows us to release whiskies only when they truly sing. We taste every spirit up to 70 times before bottling, ensuring each glass expresses the true essence of Tasmania, its community, climate and terroir.”
LARK whisky is crafted using Tasmanian barley malted in Devonport, delivering a lower yield and a richer, oilier and more viscous spirit. A seven-day fermentation using small-batch brewers’ yeast, combined with exposure to Tasmania’s ambient air, allows wild yeast inoculation to influence the flavour profile. Maturation draws on some of Australia’s finest and oldest fortified wine casks from Seppeltsfield Wines in the Barossa Valley, some with over 100 years of liquid history, imparting deep character and richness into every drop.

Peat is sourced from Browns Marsh in Tasmania’s Central Highlands, imparting a gentle, earthy smoke unique to LARK. The distillery remains the only producer in the Southern Hemisphere with its own peat-mining licence. The spirit is cut using apple-wood smoked water from Tasmania’s famed orchards, an innovative technique that enhances balance, complexity and the signature umami character found across the range.
The Four Expressions in LARK’s New Permanent Portfolio
Fire Trail – is the purest expression of the LARK house style, bold, vibrant and unmistakably Tasmanian. It captures the essence of the spirit and house style that defines LARK.

Fire Trail is an enticing Single Malt, vibrant citrus and baked fruit meet the depth of Port and Sherry casks, balanced by the subtle savoury note of apple wood smoked water.
Devil’s Storm – is the bold heart of LARK, a tempest of depth, texture and Tasmanian intensity. It embodies everything that defines the LARK craft: fearless flavour, rare cask mastery and a sense of place that’s unmistakably Tasmanian.

Devil’s Storm is a luxury and bold Single Malt aged in vintage first-fill Port and Sherry casks from Seppeltsfield and finished in American Oak, revealing scorched red fruit, almond fudge and rich chocolate. Powerful yet perfectly balanced.
Ruby Abyss – stands at the summit, a whisky of rare depth, indulgence and elemental balance. It represents the first release in the LARK Super Luxury range, where every detail is elevated to art.

Ruby Abyss is a deeply complex Single Malt aged in 100% first-fill vintage Port and Sherry casks, courtesy of our time-honoured partnership with Seppeltsfield Wines, featuring a century-old Australian Port reserve. Finished in masterfully seasoned casks, the nose offers dark fruits and caramelised brown sugar, leading to silky mocha and finishing with brandy snap sweetness fused with delicate Tasmanian peat smoke.
Cinder Forest (Global Travel Retail) – a refined, travel-exclusive expression crafted for global whisky explorers. It showcases the depth of the LARK fortified house style through hand selected casks, providing a symphony of layered complexity. Designed to intrigue and reward discovery, it embodies the New World creativity and elevated craftsmanship that define LARK.

Cinder Forest is a rich and harmonious Single Malt, a symphony of lingering flavours, shaped by first-fill Port and Sherry casks, with a rich American Oak finish. Sweet vanilla and honey unfurl, while a citrus mist lifts, revealing layers of chocolate and spiced dates.
