Tepuk Tepung Pâtisserie Celebrates Grand Opening and MOU Signing Ceremony with Sea Travel Agency at Hartamas Shopping Centre

KUALA LUMPUR, 4 April 2026 — Tepuk Tepung Pâtisserie, the artisan café concept by award-winning Malaysian culinary entrepreneur Celebrity Chef Puan Sri Nisa Bakri, officially opened its doors today at Hartamas Shopping Centre, Ground Floor, Main Entrance, in a celebration that brought together industry leaders, media, and the community for an afternoon of warmth, culture, and new beginnings. 

The Grand Opening was officiated by Y.M. Tengku Dato’ Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi bin Y.A.M. Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah Alhaj and Tan Sri Syed Mohd Yusof bin Tun Syed Nasir (Tan Sri Jojo), drawing an exclusive by-invitation crowd who witnessed not just the launch of a café, but the realisation of a deeply personal vision years in the making. The event featured a Raya Lion Dance Performance, an Officiating Ceremony, a Raya Celebration, and culminated in the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding with Sea Travel Agency.

They worked dough by feel, by instinct, by love, passing that knowledge from generation to generation. It is that same spirit that Chef Puan Sri Nisa Bakri has poured into every corner of the café, from its artisan cakes and freshly baked pastries to its warm gourmet meals, all crafted under her celebrated tagline, “Macam Mak Masak” — It Tastes Like Mother’s Cooking.

The Grand Opening also marked a significant milestone with the official signing of an MOU between Tepuk Tepung Pâtisserie and Sea Travel Agency, witnessed by VIP guests and partners in attendance. The agreement opens the door to a strategic collaboration spanning travel, hospitality, and culinary experiences, signalling the brand’s ambition to grow beyond the café space and into a wider lifestyle and experience ecosystem. 

Adding to the momentum, the event celebrated the welcoming of two prestigious new partners into the Tepuk Tepung family. Wyndham, one of the world’s largest hotel groups, and O’Briens, the internationally recognised café and sandwich brand, have both come on board as collaborators, reflecting strong industry confidence in the Tepuk Tepung vision and its commitment to delivering quality culinary experiences across multiple platforms. 

The Grand Opening also saw the announcement of Selio Lux, a brand new venture under the Nisa Holdings umbrella, born in the spirit of the occasion and brought to life within 30 hours of the MOU signing with Sea Travel Agency. Designed with tourists and cultural enthusiasts in mind, Selio Lux is a curated lifestyle concept celebrating the best of Malaysia, from vintage collections and artisan crafts to locally made cosmetics, accessories, and paintings, all thoughtfully selected to represent the richness of Malaysian culture. Located on Level 1 of Hartamas Shopping Centre, directly above Tepuk Tepung Pâtisserie, Selio Lux invites visitors to experience Malaysia not just through its food, but through its art, its craft, and its soul.
